April 10 (Bloomberg) -- Credit Suisse Group AG hired Chris Gaertner from Bank of America Corp. as head of global corporate finance for the technology group based in San Francisco.
Gaertner, who led the technology group at Merrill Lynch & Co. from 2006 to 2008, will start at the Zurich-based bank in July, according to an internal memo.
Gaertner advised Autonomy Corp. Plc on its sale to Hewlett Packard Co. and Lawson Software Inc. on its $1.9 billion acquisition by Golden Gate Capital Corp. He will report to Mark Simonian and David Wah, the bank’s global co-head of telecommunications, media and technology, according to the memo.
The New York Times DealBook reported Gaertner’s move earlier today.
