Persian Gulf Stocks: Alinma Bank and Saudi Ceramic

Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index fell for a fourth day, dropping 0.3 percent at the 3:30 p.m. close in Riyadh. The DFM General Index fell 0.7 percent.

The following shares were active in the Persian Gulf region. Stock symbols are in parentheses.

Alinma Bank (ALINMA AB) slumped 2.5 percent, the biggest decrease since March 21, to 15.55 riyals. First-quarter profit at the Islamic lender rose to 150 million riyals ($40 million) from 70 million riyals a year earlier. That fell short of a 207 million-riyal estimate at Beltone Financial, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

Saudi Ceramic (SCERCO AB) advanced for the fifth time in six days, rising 1.8 percent to 158.75 riyals. The manufacturer and retailer of ceramic products said it plans a capital increase by distributing free shares.
