April 2 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index added 0.9 percent to 62,969.32 at the close in Istanbul.
The following stocks were active. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (AKENR TI), a producer and distributor of electricity and steam, fell 0.9 percent to 2.14 liras. Turkey over the weekend increased natural gas prices by as much as 18.7 percent and electricity prices by 8.1 percent. The index tracking Turkish electicity producers fell 0.8 percent today.
Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (AKSEN TI), a utility, fell 1.8 percent to 3.92 liras.
Hurriyet Gazetecilik AS (HURGZ TI), the publisher of Hurriyet newspaper, dropped 1.7 percent to 1.16 liras after reporting a loss last year of 235.7 million liras ($132 million), almost quadruple analysts’ estimates.
