March 30 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech Republic’s PX stock index rose 0.4 percent to 973.1 at the close in Prague, paring weekly losses to 1.5 percent and ending the quarter up 6.8 percent.

Erste Group Bank AG (RBAG CP) of Austria rose 1.4 percent to 427 koruna, reducing weekly losses to 6 percent. The stock gained 24 percent this quarter, the most since the third quarter of 2009.
Global shares extended the best first-quarter rally since 1998 and the euro gained as European finance ministers agreed to increase rescue fund and a U.S. report showed personal spending in the world’s largest economy grew more than forecast.
Kit Digital Inc. (KITD CP) jumped 17 percent, the most in almost five months, to 141 koruna after Roth Capital Partners said yesterday the maker of online video software may put itself up for sale.
