March 30 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 12:30 p.m. in Buenos Aires.
The Merval Index rose 0.2 percent to 2,664.22.
Petrobras Argentina SA (PESA AF) gained 1.3 percent to 6.97 pesos. The Argentine unit of Brazil’s state-controlled Petroleo Brasileiro SA rose along with gains in the price of crude.
YPF SA (YPFD AF) retreated 0.4 percent to 148.5 pesos after advancing 3.9 percent yesterday when it announced oil discoveries. Argentina’s securities regulator will probe recent trading in YPF stock because of increased volatility, Cronista Comercial reported, citing a statement from the regulator.
