Bangpakong, Dusit Thani, Pranda, SPCG: Thailand Equity Preview

March 29 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close yesterday.

The SET Index fell 0.3 percent to 1,204.01.

Bangpakong Terminal Pcl (BTC TB): The cargo company plans to sell 15.9 percent of its Platinum Container Lines Co. unit, it said in a regulatory filing. The shares were unchanged at 0.36 baht.

Dusit Thani Pcl (DTC TB): The hotel operator will stop hiring new workers because a planned increase in Thailand’s minimum wage will increase costs, Post Today reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Chanin Donavanik. The shares rose 0.7 percent to 34.75 baht.

Pranda Jewelry Pcl (PRANDA TB): The jewelry producer’s first-quarter revenue will exceed last year’s because of strong demand in Asian markets, Krungthep Turakij reported, citing Chief Financial Officer Sunanta Tiasuwan. The shares were unchanged at 6.4 baht.

SPCG Pcl (SPCG TB): The alternative energy company may set up a 10 billion-baht ($324 million) infrastructure fund to finance 18 new solar power projects, Kao Hoon reported, citing an unidentified company official. The shares fell 1.3 percent to 15.5 baht.
