Thai Sugar Output Gains 5.7% in First 128 Days of Season

March 22 (Bloomberg) -- Thailand’s sugar production increased 5.7 percent to 8.76 million metric tons in the first 128 days of the current crushing season as yields improved, according to data from the Office of Cane and Sugar Board.

The 2011-2012 season began on Nov. 15, two weeks earlier than the previous year, the board said.
