March 22 (Bloomberg) -- Randgold Resources Ltd.’s three mines in Mali haven’t been affected by events in the capital, Bamako, where an army officer said the government had been overthrown.
“Malians respect laws and I don’t believe this will come with high-handed change in a political direction,” Chief Executive Officer Mark Bristow said in a phone interview today from the company’s Loulo mine in Mali. “We don’t expect any subsequent governments to disregard proper and due process.”
