March 19 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
The Ipsa index advanced 1.3 percent to 4,644.31. The MSCI Chile index advanced 1 percent to 2,671.06.
Cia. Sud Americana de Vapores SA (VAPORES CC), Chile’s largest container shipping company, advanced 13 percent to 63.94 pesos, its sixth consecutive day of gains. The Shanghai Shipping Exchange’s Containerized Freight Index rose 4.5 percent in the week to March 16, its fourth consecutive weekly gain. The index has increased 29 percent in the year to date.
Lan Airlines SA (LAN CC) gained 2.9 percent to 14,175 pesos, its biggest increase in more than three months. Latin America’s largest carrier plans to complete its integration with Brazil’s Tam SA by May 12, Santiago-based Diario Financiero said.
SACI Falabella (FALAB CC) added 2.2 percent to 4,775.2 pesos, the biggest advance in a month. Chile’s largest retailer by market value is preparing to sell American depositary receipts and enter the Mexican market this year, Diario Financiero reported. Falabella’s press department didn’t respond to a phone call and e-mail seeking comment.
