Italy Should Use Gains in Evasion Push to Cut Tax, Employers Say

Italy should use revenue it earns from a crackdown on tax evasion to cut the burden on those who do stick to the rules, a lobby for the nation’s employers said.

Italy also needs changes in its labor market to increase productivity and employment, and the lobby is ready to sign up for such government action “if it’s real and radical,” Emma Marcegaglia, head of Confindustria, told a conference in Milan.
