March 15 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Taipei.
The benchmark Taiex Index fell less than 0.1 percent to 8,121.62.
Apple-related shares: Foxconn Technology Co. (2354 TT), a casing maker for Apple Inc. products, gained 1.2 percent to NT$131.50, the highest close since March 5. Radiant Opto-Electronics Corp. (6176 TT) advanced 1.1 percent to a record NT$137. Apple rose to a record after Morgan Stanley raised its share-price estimate for the stock to $720 from $515.
Banking stocks: SinoPac Financial Holdings Co. (2890 TT) increased 1.8 percent to NT$11.25. First Financial Holding Co. (2892 TT) rose 1.1 percent to NT$18.50. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao said he would be willing to travel to Taiwan after he retires and encouraged banks on both sides to take stakes in each other.
