Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index climbed 1.6 percent, the most since March 6, to 5,169.43 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo. That pared the measure’s weekly loss to 4.2 percent.

Lecico Egypt SAE (LCSW EY) gained the most since Feb. 23, rising 2.2 percent to 6.15 Egyptian pounds. The producer of sanitary ware and tiles had its share-price estimate raised 3 percent to 8.55 pounds at Cairo-based investment bank EFG-Hermes Holding SAE.
Paints & Chemical Industries Co. SAE (PACH EY) advanced 1.5 percent, the biggest gain since Jan. 31, to 32.6 pounds. Egypt’s biggest publicly trader paints producer signed a contract with a distributer that will allow the company to export its products to Nigeria, Ethiopia, Zambia and Algeria.
