March 15 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies may have unusual moves in Indonesian trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the previous close.
The Jakarta Composite index rose 1.1 percent to 4,054.33.
PT Buana Listya Tama (BULL IJ): Units of PT Berlian Laju Tanker, Indonesia’s largest shipping company by market value, sought protection from creditors in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan under Chapter 15 of the bankruptcy code, which puts on hold claims while a company reorganizes outside the U.S. Berlian said Jan. 26 it has temporarily ceased repayments on loans, bonds and ship leases and on similar debt of its subsidiaries save for Buana Listya. Buana Listya was unchanged at 67 rupiah.
PT Bumi Serpong Damai (BSDE IJ): The property developer’s 2011 net income more than doubled to 840.8 billion rupiah ($91.2 million), beating the 753.4 billion rupiah mean estimate of 14 analysts in a Bloomberg News survey. Bumi Serpong slipped 0.8 percent to 1,210 rupiah.
PT Krakatau Steel (KRAS IJ): Net income at Indonesia’s biggest steel producer slid to 1.03 trillion rupiah from 1.06 trillion rupiah a year earlier, the company said in a statement published in Bisnis Indonesia. The mean estimate for net income was 825.7 billion rupiah, according to three analysts in a Bloomberg News survey. Krakatau Steel advanced 4.6 percent to 920 rupiah.
