March 14 (Bloomberg) -- Nestle SA Chief Executive Officer Paul Bulcke’s total compensation in 2011 fell 7.3 percent because of a smaller short-term bonus.

The maker of Nescafe soluble coffee paid Bulcke 9.8 million Swiss francs ($10.6 million), including a 2 million-franc base salary, Vevey, Switzerland-based Nestle said in its annual report published online today. The short-term bonus, in cash and shares, declined to 3.73 million francs in 2011 from 4.45 million francs a year earlier.

The total package includes other elements such as stock options and performance-based compensation.
