March 14 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech Republic’s PX stock index rose for a second day, gaining 0.7 percent to 999.6 by the close in Prague.
The following were among the most active equities on Prague Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
CEZ AS (CEZ CP), the country’s biggest power utility, added 1.5 percent to 815 koruna, the highest level in a week. Electricity for next-year delivery in Germany, where CEZ exports part of its output, increased for a second day, rising to 52.90 euros per megawatt-hour.
Erste Group Bank AG (RBAG CP) climbed as much as 2.8 percent to 464.8 koruna. European stocks rallied after the Federal Reserve bolstered confidence in the U.S. banking system and raised its assessment of the world’s largest economy. The shares ended the day 0.5 percent weaker at 449.8 koruna.
