Brazilian Stock Movers: Aliansce, CCR, Fibria Celulose

The following companies had unusual price changes in Sao Paulo trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close of trading. Preferred shares are usually the most-traded class of stock.

The Bovespa Index gained 1.4 percent to 66,908.39.

Aliansce Shopping Centers SA (ALSC3 BS) advanced 3.7 percent to 16.75 reais, a record high. The shopping mall owner said adjusted net income was 108 million reais ($61 million) in 2011, compared with the average estimate of 86 million reais from nine analysts in a Bloomberg survey.

CCR SA (CCRO3 BS) gained 2.2 percent to a record 14.64 reais. The toll-road operator reported fourth-quarter net income of 294.7 million reais, above the average estimate of 288.7 million reais in a Bloomberg survey of three analysts.

Fibria Celulose SA (FIBR3 BS) was unchanged at 15.20 reais after earlier falling as much as 4.7 percent. The world’s largest pulp producer offered to sell 1.25 billion reais of new shares as it seeks funds to reduce debt. The offering would increase the number of shares outstanding by 15 percent, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

MRV Engenharia e Participacoes SA (MRVE3 BS) fell less than 0.1 percent to 14.81 reais, after earlier gaining as much as 2.6 percent. Brazil’s fourth-biggest homebuilder by revenue said net income rose 38 percent to 209 million reais in the fourth quarter, beating the average estimate for adjusted net income of 199 million reais in a Bloomberg survey of seven analysts.
