The Lima General Index fell 1.3 percent to 22,664.72. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1.4 percent to 2,847.76.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ PE), a Canadian zinc exploration company, fell 15 percent to 11 cents after futures declined in London, said Francisco Miranda, an analyst at Lima-based investment fund NC&F Inversiones SA.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based zinc mining company, dropped 2.4 percent to 80 centimos.
Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, slid 3.2 percent to $39.20 after gold tumbled to a five-week low in New York.
Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), Peru’s biggest copper producer, declined for a third day, losing 2.2 percent to $30.73 after copper fell the most in 12 weeks in New York.
