Mexico Stocks: Cemex, Urbi Desarrollos, Grupo Mexico Decline

March 6 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 3 p.m. Mexico City time.

The IPC index fell 1.7 percent to 37,487.63, the biggest drop since Jan. 13.

Homebuilders and construction-related companies led declines as the shrinking European economy spurred an exit from riskier assets.

Cemex SAB (CEMEXCPO MM), the largest cement maker in the Americas, dropped 4.3 percent to 9.77 pesos. Urbi Desarrollos Urbanos SAB (URBI* MM), Mexico’s third-largest homebuilder by sales, slid 4.3 percent to 14.10 pesos.

Grupo Mexico SAB (GMEXICOB MM), the country’s largest mining company, declined 2.5 percent to 38.77 pesos. Copper declined for a third day in New York.
