March 2 (Bloomberg) -- Volkswagen AG chose its Slovak factory to produce an electric version of the carmaker’s new Up! subcompact model, Hospodarske Noviny reported, citing Albrecht Reimold, the head of the Slovak unit.
The carmaker also maintains its plan to reach the Slovak unit’s full annual production capacity of 400,000 cars as early as this year, the newspaper cited Reimold as saying.
