BHP Billiton Ltd., the world’s largest mining company, plans to close its office in The Hague, one of four marketing hubs.
A consultation process is under way, Ruban Yogarajah, a spokesman for the Melbourne-based company, said today in an e-mail. He declined to comment further.
BHP is moving its operation in The Hague to Singapore, Reuters reported earlier today, citing “industry sources.”
BHP’s marketing arm, which buy and sells raw materials, is centralized in The Hague, Houston, Singapore and Antwerp, Belgium, according to the company’s website.
