Feb. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Vietnam, the world’s second-largest rice exporter, shipped 473,802 metric tons from the start of the year to Feb. 23, according to the Vietnam Food Association.
Shipments were 194,527 tons from Feb. 1 to Feb. 23, it said on its website today.
Vietnam, which exported a record 7.11 million tons in 2011, according to the association, may ship 6.58 million to 7.34 million tons this year, the agriculture ministry said in a report posted on its website Feb. 3.
