Korea East-West Power Seeks 50,000 Tons of Fuel Oil for March

Feb. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Korea East-West Power Co., one of the six generating units of Korea Electric Power Corp., is seeking to buy fuel oil for late March delivery, according to a notice e-mailed to potential suppliers.

Details of the company’s planned purchase are as follows:

Quantity:     50,000 metric tons
Sulfur:       Maximum 2.5 percent
Viscosity:    Maximum of 540 centistokes
Delivery:     March 21 to March 25
Port:         Ulsan
Offers Close: March 5, 2 p.m. local time

The oil’s centistoke rating is a measure of its viscosity, or flow rate, when heated.
