Schlecker Workers May Struggle to Find New Job, Berliner Reports

Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Employees of Germany’s insolvent retailer Schlecker will have difficulty finding jobs because almost 300,000 people are looking for work in the retail industry, Berliner Zeitung reported, citing Federal Labor Agency data.

About 24,000 sales positions were available at the end of January, the newspaper said, citing the agency. Schlecker has about 32,000 employees, Berliner Zeitung reported.
