Feb. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
The Ipsa index rose 0.6 percent to 4,520.79. The MSCI Chile index increased 1.3 percent to 2,643.58.
Cencosud SA (CENCOSUD CC) increased 2.3 percent to 3,091.1 pesos, its biggest gain in almost three weeks. Chile’s largest retailer by sales said it will invest $40 million to build a new shopping mall in the city of Talcahuano in southern Chile.
Cia. Sud Americana de Vapores SA (VAPORES CC) gained 0.3 percent to 112.8 pesos. A package of 781 million shares in Latin America’s largest container shipping company was auctioned on the Santiago exchange today by brokerage IM Trust SA for a minimum price of 113 pesos each.
Enersis SA (ENERSIS CC) rose 2 percent to 192.66 pesos, its highest price since Nov. 11. Santiago-based IM Trust reiterated a “buy” recommendation for the holding company, a unit of Spain’s Endesa SA.
