Matolcsy Has ‘Strong’ Support in Hungary Cabinet, Szijjarto Says

Feb. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Hungarian Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy, who is also responsible for the finance portfolio, has an “extremely strong” position in the Cabinet, Peter Szijjarto, Premier Viktor Orban’s spokesman, told M1 television.

There are no government plans to break up Matolcsy’s portfolio and to make Mihaly Varga, Orban’s chief of staff and a former finance minister, head of state finances, Szijjarto said in an interview on state television today.
