Vietnam Stock Movers: An Phu, Dam Sen Water Park, VietinBank

Feb. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Ho Chi Minh City.

The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, rose 1.3 percent to 423.89, the highest close since Sept. 30.

An Phu Irradiation Joint-Stock Co. (APC VN), which irradiates fruit to be exported to the U.S., dropped 1.2 percent to 16,100 dong. Its fourth-quarter net income fell 14 percent to 8.03 billion dong ($386,000), the company said in a statement.

Dam Sen Water Park Corp. (DSN VN), an operator of a theme park in Ho Chi Minh City, climbed 4.9 percent to 32,000 dong, a record close. The company will pay a 2011 dividend of 2,200 dong and 2012 dividend of 600 dong on March 15, according to a statement on the exchange’s website.

Vietnam Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Industry & Trade (CTG VN), or VietinBank, advanced for a sixth day, gaining 0.8 percent to 25,200 dong, the highest level since Sept. 1. The bank has targeted 2012 pretax profit to rise 11 percent to 9 trillion dong, according to a statement on its website.
