Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Evgeni Malkin and Steve Sullivan scored goals in the second period to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-0 victory against the visiting New York Rangers in a National Hockey League contest.
The Rangers lost at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh for the first time since Feb. 12, 2010.
Marc-André Fleury had 27 saves for the Penguins, while Henrik Lundqvist made 29 saves for the Rangers.
The Rangers (38-15-5) lead the Eastern Conference’s five-team Atlantic Division with 81 points, while Pittsburgh (34-21-5) is in fourth place with 73 points.
