Feb. 22 (Bloomberg) -- Iman Shumpert of the New York Knicks has withdrawn from the National Basketball Association’s slam-dunk contest during All-Star weekend because of tendinitis in his left knee.

Shumpert will be replaced by Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans, the NBA said in a statement. Chase Budinger of the Houston Rockets, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers and Derrick Williams of the Minnesota Timberwolves are also participating in the Feb. 25 competition in Orlando, Florida.

The NBA also said that Atlanta Hawks guard Joe Johnson will miss the Feb. 26 All-Star Game because of tendinitis in his left knee. A replacement hasn’t been named.
