Feb. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.
The Ipsa index fell 0.1 percent to 4,540.95. The MSCI Chile index rose 0.4 percent to 2,631.98.
Cap SA (CAP CC) increased 0.6 percent to 21,296 pesos. Chile’s largest iron miner and steel producer gained in line with base metal prices.
Cencosud SA (CENCOSUD CC), the country’s largest retailer by sales, rose 0.9 percent to 3,098.9 pesos. Economic activity and domestic demand have grown “slightly” faster than the central bank forecast in December, central bank board member Enrique Marshall told Chilean newspaper Pulso.
Cia. Sud Americana de Vapores SA (VAPORES CC) advanced 2.1 percent to 116.48 pesos. Latin America’s largest container shipping company has gained 18 percent in the past four days after it raised $1.2 billion in a capital increase.
