The Lima General Index was little changed at 22,276.71. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 0.2 percent to 2,797.11.
Zinc miners dropped as U.S. stocks and zinc futures declined, said Hernando Pastor, an analyst at Lima-based Kallpa Securities SAB.
Cia. Minera Atacocha SA (ATACOBC1 PE), the Lima-based zinc mining company, slumped 4.7 percent to 82 centimos. Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), Peru’s largest zinc producer, fell 1.4 percent to 3.44 soles. Cia. Minera Milpo (MILPOC1 PE), a zinc and silver producer controlled by Sao Paulo-based Votorantim Metais Ltda., slid 0.9 percent to 5.35 soles.
Alicorp SA (ALICORC1 PE), Peru’s largest foodstuff maker, rose 2.4 percent to 6.35 soles after fourth-quarter net income more than doubled to 78.7 million soles ($29 million).
