Feb. 10 (Bloomberg) -- Leon Cooperman’s Omega Advisors Inc. increased its stake in the SPDR Gold Trust, an exchange-traded fund backed by the metal, by 27 percent during the fourth quarter, according to a regulatory filing.
The New York-based hedge fund added 198,100 shares during the three months ended Dec. 31, bringing its holding to 919,600, a filing today with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission showed. SPDR is the biggest exchange-traded product backed by gold.
