The Bovespa Index fell 0.1 percent to 65,831.16.
Industrias Romi SA (ROMI3 BS) slid 14 percent to 5.74 reais. The machinery maker reported a fourth-quarter loss of 17.2 million reais ($10 million), exceeding the average estimate of 4.27 million reais among three analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Itau Unibanco Holding SA (ITUB4 BS) gained 2.2 percent to 37.20 reais. Economic growth will help Brazil’s biggest bank by market value increase lending and reduce delinquency rates, Chief Executive Officer Roberto Setubal said on a conference call with analysts today.
Tractebel Energia SA (TBLE3 BS) gained 1.1 percent to 29.67 reais. The Brazilian unit of GDF Suez SA reported adjusted earnings per share of 2.22 reais, exceeding the average estimate for 2.10 reais among 12 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
