Feb. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Egypt’s benchmark EGX30 Index lost 1 percent to 4,538.65 at the 2:30 p.m. close in Cairo.
The following were among active stocks on the Egyptian Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
EFG-Hermes Holding SAE (HRHO EY) dropped 4.5 percent, the most since Nov. 22, to 11.01 Egyptian pounds. The biggest publicly-traded Arab investment bank said Chief Executive Officer Yasser El Mallawany was banned from traveling. It didn’t provide further details.
Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Co. (SKPC EY) increased as much as 1.9 percent to 13.65 pounds before closing at 13.43 pounds. The Egyptian chemicals manufacturer said full-year profit increased 8.4 percent to 889.9 million pounds ($148 million).
