Feb. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Taipei.
The Taiex Index rose 0.9 percent to 7,741.24, the eighth day of gains and the longest winning streak since September 2009.
Inotera Memories Inc. (3474 TT), a venture between Nanya Technology Corp. and Micron Technology Inc., gained 4.3 percent to NT$6.29. Inotera President Charles Kau said by phone today that the death of Micron Chief Executive Officer Steve Appleton would have no impact on its operations.
Nanya Technology Corp. (2408 TT) surged 6.6 percent to NT$2.89, the highest close since Nov. 9. January sales climbed 28 percent from a month ago, according to statements to the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
Neo-Solar Power Corp. (3576 TT) slumped 6.9 percent to NT$27.85, the biggest drop since Nov. 23. January revenue fell 65 percent to NT$850 million, the company said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday.
