Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Latvia’s budget deficit was about 4 percent of economic output last year, according to preliminary data, the Baltic News Service reported, citing Aleksis Jarockis, a spokesman for the Finance Ministry.
The figure is below the government’s target of 4.5 percent of gross domestic product, BNS reported. Latvia will submit data on the deficit to Eurostat on April 1, Jarockis said, according to the Riga-based newswire.
