India Beats Australia By Eight Wickets in Twenty20 Cricket Match

Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- India beat Australia by eight wickets in their second Twenty20 cricket match in Melbourne.

Gautam Gambhir’s unbeaten 56 helped India reach its target of 132 with two balls remaining. Captain MS Dhoni was 23 not out and Virat Kohli scored 31 as the visitors finished 135-2.

Australia was bowled out for 131 in 19.4 overs after winning the toss and electing to bat. Aaron Finch top-scored with 36, with Praveen Kumar and Rahul Sharma taking two wickets each.

The victory was India’s first on its tour of Australia after being swept 4-0 in a Test series and losing a Twenty20 game two days ago. The two teams open a one-day series also involving Sri Lanka on Feb. 5.
