Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- Elia System Operator NV, the operator of Belgium’s electric grid, said it will recoup 125 million euros ($165 million) from the government after winning a tax dispute in a Brussels court in December.
The government has until Feb. 6 to appeal the decision of the Court of First Instance in Brussels, Lise Mulpas, a spokeswoman for Elia, said today by telephone. The recovered funds will be passed on to consumers through tariff rebates and will have no impact on Elia’s earnings, she said.
