Feb. 3 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Sao Paulo trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 1:15 p.m. local time. Preferred shares are usually the most-traded class of stock.
The Bovespa Index gained 1.1 percent to 65,307.10.
Localiza Rent a Car SA (RENT3 BS) rose 3.2 percent to 29.65 reais. Latin America’s largest car-rental company said net income increased 13 percent in the fourth quarter to 78.7 million reais ($45.6 million), beating the median estimate of analysts in a Bloomberg survey.
Multiplan Empreendimentos Imobiliarios SA (MULT3 BS) climbed 1.7 percent to 42.40 reais, the highest ever. The real estate company sold an office building in Sao Paulo to a unit of Oracle Corp. for 165 million reais.
Oil companies advanced as crude advanced in New York. OGX Petroleo & Gas Participacoes SA (OGXP3 BS) rose 2.3 percent to 17.42 reais. Petroleo Brasileiro SA (PETR4 BS) increased 1.1 percent to 24.79 reais.
