Jordan Gets U.S. Wheat in Grant, Purchase Agreement, Times Says

Jordan will receive a U.S. grant of 50,000 metric tons of wheat tomorrow and another 100,000 tons in two months under a $28 million purchase agreement, the Jordan Times reported.

The kingdom consumes 70,000 tons of wheat a month and has reserves of 575,000 tons, the newspaper reported, citing Yanal Bermawi, a Ministry of Industry and Trade spokesman.
