Hamas Leader to Visit Iran Upon Ahmadinejad Invite, Fars Reports

Ismail Haniyeh, the top Hamas leader in the Gaza Strip, has received an invitation from Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and will visit Tehran, Fars said, citing the group’s foreign affairs minister, Mohammed Awad.

Awad didn’t say when the trip would take place and what topics will be discussed by the two men, according to the state-run news agency.
