Racing to Chelsea
Racing Genk winger Kevin de Bruyne may join Chelsea for 8.5 million pounds ($13 million), the Daily Express reported.
The London club would loan the 20-year-old Belgium national team player back to Genk for the remainder of the season or the year before joining Chelsea, the newspaper said.
Balotelli Brother on Trial
Sunderland is giving a tryout to Enoch Balotelli, the younger brother of Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli, the Daily Mirror reported. Bosnian international striker Zlatan Muslimovic is also on trial at the club.
Heskey is Free to Go
Aston Villa may let Emile Heskey go for free this summer as the club tries to cut down on its salary costs, the Daily Mirror reported.
The 34-year-old former England player cost 3.5 million pounds two years ago and is one of the club’s “top earners,” the paper said.
Anton Won’t Shake Terry’s Hand
Queens Park Ranger player Anton Ferdinand won’t shake Chelsea captain John Terry’s hand when the two meet in this weekend’s F.A. Cup match, the Daily Mirror reported.
The Jan. 28 game marks the first time Terry will play at Loftus Road since he was charged with racially abusing Ferdinand during a game in October.
