Baht Drops as Thai Central Bank Cuts Rate by 25 Basis Points

Thailand’s baht dropped as the central bank cut its one-day bond repurchase rate by a quarter of a percentage point to 3 percent, a decision predicted by all 15 economists in a Bloomberg News survey.

The baht declined 0.1 percent to 31.52 per dollar as of 2:29 p.m. in Bangkok, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
