Amer Group Holding (AMER EY), an Egyptian developer and operator of resorts and restaurants, declined for the first time in five days, losing 1.7 percent to 57 piasters. The number of tourists visiting Egypt in 2011 fell 33 percent from a year earlier and revenue dropped 30 percent, Tourism Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour told reporters in Cairo yesterday.
Raya Holding Co. (RAYA EY) advanced as much as 2.7 percent before closing up 0.5 percent at 3.69 Egyptian pounds, the highest level in almost a month. The Egyptian information technology company will pay a dividend of 20 piasters per share on Jan. 19 for shareholders on as of today.
