Jan. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Bangkok.
The SET Index fell for a second day, declining 0.8 percent to 1,037.01, a one-week low.
Shipping companies: Precious Shipping Pcl (PSL TB), the nation’s biggest dry-bulk shipping company by market value, dropped 3 percent to 16.2 baht, the largest decrease since Oct. 18. Thoresen Thai Agencies Pcl (TTA TB) lost 1.4 percent 20.6 baht.
The Baltic Dry Index, a measure of shipping costs for dry-bulk commodities, slid 4.7 percent to 1,053 on Jan. 13, the lowest level since Feb. 7, according to the Baltic Exchange in London.
PTT Exploration & Production Pcl (PTTEP TB), Thailand’s only publicly traded oil explorer, declined 2.3 percent to 170.5 baht, the most since Dec. 15. Oil futures in New York fell 0.4 percent to $98.70 on Jan. 13, the lowest close since Dec. 21.
