The following companies had unusual price changes in Argentine trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of the close of trading in Buenos Aires.

Financial company shares declined after Argentina’s statistics agency reported Jan. 13 the country’s consumer prices rose 9.5 percent in December from a year earlier. Banco Macro SA (BMA AF), Argentina’s largest lender by market share, was unchanged at 11.10 pesos after earlier falling as much as 2.7 percent. Banco Hipotecario SA (BHIP AF) dropped 0.6 percent to 1.69 pesos. BBVA Banco Frances SA (FRAN AF) slid 1.2 percent to 9.30 pesos.
YPF SA (YPFD AF), Argentina’s largest energy company, fell 3.9 percent to 164.50 pesos. The country’s antitrust agency is investigating energy companies including YPF for fuel price-fixing, Planning Minister Julio De Vido said.
