Jan. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The New York Knicks won their fourth straight game and snapped a six-game unbeaten run for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points as the Knicks earned an 85-79 victory at Madison Square Garden in New York last night.
The Knicks (6-4) are second in the National Basketball Association’s five-team Eastern Conference Atlantic Division, one game behind the 76ers (7-3).
Amar’e Stoudemire added 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Knicks, who led 45-35 at halftime.
Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner, who came off the bench, led the 76ers with 16 points. Philadelphia entered the game averaging almost 102 points per game, third most in the NBA.
