Jan. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Experian Plc Chief Financial Officer Paul Brooks, 58, died suddenly at his home in California at the weekend, the world’s largest credit-checking company said in a statement today.
Brooks, who was also a director of Serco Group Plc, had been chief financial officer of London-based Experian since October 2001.
“Paul’s legacy to Experian will be the very strong global finance team he developed, who will provide all the necessary support and coverage needed as we move forward,” Chairman John Peace said in the statement
The shares were 13.5 pence, or 1.6 percent, higher at 866.5 pence at 2.46 p.m. in London trading.
It is too early to say when the company will start looking for a replacement, Experian spokesman James Russell said today in a telephone interview.
