Brazil’s Rousseff Aims at Least 4% Growth in 2012, O Globo Says

Jan. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil’s president Dilma Rousseff plans to boost investments and credit in a bid to have the country’s economy grow at least 4 percent this year, O Globo reported, without saying how it obtained the information.

The government will spend 50 billion reais ($26.9 billion) to “boost investments” and invest 40 billion reais in state-controlled banks in order to increase the credit available, the Rio de Janeiro-based newspaper reported.
