Egypt’s Islamists Won’t Harm Tourism, Eisa Tells Handelsblatt

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Mahmoud Eisa said victory by Islamist parties in the country’s elections won’t damage the tourism industry, Handelsblatt reported, citing an interview.

Eisa also said Egypt is considering asking for aid from the International Monetary Fund as “an option,” and will shortly begin a series of “road shows” abroad to attract foreign investment, the newspaper said.
