Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies may have unusual price changes in Asian trading tomorrow. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are as of the latest close. The information in each item was released after markets shut, unless stated otherwise.
Areva T&D India Ltd. (ATD IN): The maker of power transmission and distribution equipment approved the sale of 5,00,000 shares in unit Grid Equipments Ltd. to Alstom Grid Finance, B.V., Netherlands for 1 million rupees ($18,891), according to an exchange filing. Areva’s stock lost 2.2 percent to 165.55 rupees.
Evergrande Real Estate Group Ltd. (3333 HK): China’s second-largest developer by sales said contracted property sales in 2011 increased 59 percent to 80.4 billion yuan ($10.3 billion). The stock dropped 5.5 percent to HK$3.07.
Megane Top Co. (7541 JT): The eyeglass retailer said same-stores sales jumped 12.2 percent in December from the same month a year earlier. The stock gained 2.1 percent to 905 yen.
Point Inc. (2685 JT): The apparel chain said domestic same-store sales fell 0.4 percent in December from a year earlier, driven by lower customer traffic. The stock slid 0.2 percent to 3,265 yen.
Shangri-La Asia Ltd. (69 HK): Asia’s biggest luxury hotel company by market value said it will proceed with the purchase of a land in Kowloon from the government for HK$2.3 billion ($296 million). The company said it will build a hotel, shopping mall and leisure facilities on the property. Shangri-La gained 1.3 percent to HK$13.66.
Tsuruha Holdings Inc. (3391 JT): The drugstore chain’s sales at stores open at least 13 months rose 3.9 percent in December, compared with a year ago, buoyed by a rise in sales per customer, the retailer said in a release. The stock advanced 0.7 percent to 4,335 yen.
UltraTech Cement Ltd. (UTCEM IN): The Indian company’s production in December rose 10.8 percent to 3.57 million tons, while sales for the month increased 10.5 percent to 3.62 million tons, it said in a statement. Shares slumped 2.9 percent to 1,141.9 rupees.
